St. Mary's beats St. Francis; Ag Trac downs Union Springs

AUBURN - Tim Locastro scored 17 points for St. Mary's in a 53-45 win over St. Francis in an eighth grade CYO game on Sunday. Pat O'Donovan added 14 points for the winners.
Sean Wayne had 24 points for St. Francis.

St. Alphonsus defeated St. Peter & Paul 44-25 behind Gabe Zsiro's 15 points and Nicole Schattinger's seven. St. Peter & Paul was led by Scott Chalupnicki with 10 points and Jeff Tonzi with eight.

In a game in which the final score wasn't reported, Sacred Heart played Holy Family. Paul Ringwood had 13 points for Sacred Heart. Holy Family was led by Matt Bennett with eight points and Bunky Baird added six points.

5TH-6TH GRADE

Sacred Heart I defeated St. Mary's I 34-17. Jacob Leader paced Sacred Heart with 28 points. Joe Wilson scored eight points to lead St. Mary's.

Sacred Heart II defeated St. Alphonsus 23-18 behind Jen Malloy's eight points. Nick Fiermonte was cited for defense. Erin Gordon had eight points for St. Alphonsus.

St. Francis beat St. Peter & Paul 32-14 as Anthony Poolard had 14 points and Jerry Spinelli was cited for defense. Christina Hyrnyk and Larysa Droczak scored four points each for St. Peter & Paul. Neal Rusinko was cited by coaches for his defense.

HIGH SCHOOL

The Lakers defeated the Suns 59-55 behind Nick Granato's 25 points and Carl Festa's 13. The Suns were led by Arron Lee with 14 points.

Patrick Montgomery led the Celtics with 11 points and Alex Montgomery added 10 as the Celtics defeated the Pistons 55-50. The Pistons were led by Mike DeAngelis with 14 points and Mike Hutchings added 10.

The Bulls defeated the Kings, 54-49, behind Anthony Siracusa's 11 points and Mathew Dejmone's 11. Jack Redmond dropped in 22 points for the Kings.

Brian Hoey netted 20 points and Jeff Graceffo chipped in with 13 as the Nuggets defeated the Knicks 66-54. Brad O'Dell scored 24 points to lead the Knicks.

Matt Falicchio had 14 points and Dion Brown added 10 as the Bulls defeated the Pistons 54-44. Mike Hutchings dropped in 18 points to lead the Pistons.

The Celtics beat the Kings 46-38 behind Nolan Mahaney's 12 points and Andy Kott's 10. C.J. Shaw scored 12 points to lead the Kings.

The Nuggets beat the Lakers 56-54 as Brian Hoey dropped 23 points and Jeff Graceffo added 17. Nick Granato paced the Lakers with 21 points and Mark Evans added 12 points.

Matt Carroway and George Fitzgibbons each scored 12 points for the Knicks as they beat the Suns 54-36. Anthony DeBenedetto scored 16 points to lead the Suns.

CCYO

4TH GRADE BOYS

Victory Sports Medicine defeated Southern Cayuga 22-10 behind Cameron Sanders' 14 points and Brett Sanderson's eight. Tyler Francis was cited by coaches for defense. Ben Moore scored six points to lead Southern Cayuga.

The Printery defeated Southern Cayuga No. 2 40-14 behind Chris Courtney's 20 points. Tyler Carol added eight points and added 10 boards. Joey Noga and Brady Reed were cited for defense. Mike Killian had six points for Southern Cayuga.

5TH GRADE BOYS

Moore Landscaping Services defeated Skaneateles No. 1 27-23. Joel Handley and Dana Scarselletta each scored six points. Tom Lupo was cited for defense. Joe Atkinson had 13 points for Skaneateles.

Skaneateles No. 2 defeated Partnership For Results 32-31. Kyree Rufus had 21 points to lead Partnership and Jessie Nwajei added eight. Ian Miller was cited for defense.

Rx City Pharmacy defeated Skaneateles No. 3 28-8. Zack LaDouce had 12 points to lead Rx. Joe DeAngelis and Matt Carberry each scored eight points. Bobby Wagner was cited for defense.

6TH GRADE BOYS

Ag Trac defeated Union Springs 31-12. Matt Bergenstock led Ag Trac with 10 points and Zach VanNostrand added eight.

Skaneateles No. 2 defeated Byrn's Trophy 27-22. Pat Roberts paced the winners with nine points. Mike Ferlenda paced Byrn's with 11 points and Andrew Sanders added six. Matt Race was cited for defense.

Skaneateles No. 1 defeated First National Bank of Geneva 35-29. Mike Richards led Skaneateles with 13 points. Mike Granato had 21 points for First National Bank. Trevor Doan and Nathaniel Donch were cited for defense.

5TH-6TH GRADE GIRLS

Southern Cayuga (Genoa Grain) defeated Union Springs 29-4. Southern Cayuga was led by Taylor Field with 11 points and Ella Pearson with eight. Holly Signor was cited for strong defense.

7TH-8TH GRADE GIRLS

Venice Enterprises defeated Union Springs 41-28. Beth Rocker and Stephanie Morse each scored 11 points to pace Venice Enterprises. Union Springs was led by Amanda Cuff with 11 points.

Pall Trinity defeated Cato 39-10. Taylor Baran led Pall Trinity with 19 points and Kate Aldrich added nine points. Christina Simmons and Mallory Garrigan were cited for defense.
