AUBURN - Jeff Covich had two goals as the Auburn Midgets defeated Rome 5-3 in a youth hockey game this past weekend. Ryan Lashomb, Dustin Lefave and B.J. Shaw each scored one goal. Scott Simpson had two assists. Corey Porter, Ryan Burke, Johnathon Poweski and Lashomb each had one assist.

Josh Gleason had 12 saves and Matt Long added 11.

In the second game, Lashomb had two goals and one assist as Auburn beat Ithaca 5-0. Burke had two goals and Shaw added one. Mike Evans had an assist.

Long had 17 saves and Gleason had seven.

BANTAMS

Custom Engraving defeated Valley 3-2. Kevin Festa, Ryan Cole, and Mike Miskell each scored one goal. Festa had two assists. Nick Sicchio, Miskell, and Mike Ryan each had one assist. Chris Clifford and Scott Garnett were cited by coaches for their defensive efforts. Tom Trowell had 15 saves in goal.

In the second game, Custom Engraving defeated New Hartford 4-3. Nick Zappia had two goals, Festa and Cole each scored one goal. Festa, Clifford and Joe McQueeny each had one assist. Trowell had 15 saves in goal.

Reggie Townsend had three goals to lead the Modular Comfort Systems House team to a 5-4 win over Camillus. Ormie King and Melissa Colvin each scored one goal. Josh Kehoe had 25 saves in goal.

Snowbelt

Auburn lost to Camillus 8-5 as Stephen Dec had four goals and Johnny Shaw added three. Cody Lupo and Justin Corcoran each had one assist. Mark Bruno had 22 saves in goal.

In the second game, Auburn lost to Oswego 4-3. Shaw had two goals and Dec added one. James Murtari and Joey Leogrande each had one assist. Bruno had 19 saves.

MITE HOUSE

Holiday Inn defeated Fulton 8-1. Jay Wilkes had four goals, Jordan Jackson chipped in with three goals and Hunter Haff added one. Haff had two assists, Casey Komanecky and Adam Lupo each had one assist. Zeke Sliwka had 15 saves. Justin Giannone and C.J. Panek were cited by coaches for defense.

In the second game, Holiday Inn lost to Geneva 5-3. Jackson had two goals and Wilkes added one goal. Sliwka had 20 saves in goal.

MITE TRAVEL

Auburn lost to Rome 8-2 as Mike Foltz and Sean Lattimore each scored one goal. Conor Hastings had 20 saves.

In the second game, the Mites tied New Hartford 2-2. Nick Netti and Brett Lowe each scored one goal. Hastings had 14 saves in goal.

SQUIRT HOUSE

Auburn defeated Fulton 4-3 as Cole Bowen, Nate Ryan, James Dodge, and Brett Lowe each scored one goal.

Ryan, Mitchell Dec, Nick Vitale, and Nora Garrett were cited for defense. Jeffrey Gardner had 28 saves.

PEE WEE

McLaughlin Glass lost to Binghamton 7-5. Cole Bardreau and Bobby Gage each scored two goals. J.T. Foltz added one goal. Toly Capecefalo, Mike Piwinski, and Foltz each had two assists. Steve Komanecky had 14 saves.

In the second game, McLaughlin beat Center State 5-2. Foltz led with two goals. Matt Festa, Bardreau, and Brad Murdoch each scored one goal. Murdoch and Conor Entenmann each had one assist.
