AUBURN - Alfred J. Fiorenzo, 78, of 35 Highland St., Auburn, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, in Auburn Memorial Hospital.
Alfred was born in Fairport, and lived most of his life in the Auburn area. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, as well as being a strong supporter of all local churches of Catholic faith. He was an Army veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Until his retirement in 1988, Mr. Fiorenzo was employed as a welder at ALCO in Auburn. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rosetta Micelli Fiorenzo; a son, Joseph F. (Ellen) of Auburn; a daughter, Nancy Harradine (Jim) of Rochester; two brothers, James Fiorenzo (Julia) of Florida and Samuel Fiorenzo (Virginia) of Tennessee; a sister, Francis Giacalone of Auburn; three grandchildren, Ashley Fiorenzo and Jessica and Christina Harradine; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, John Fiorenzo.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian burial to be held 10 a.m. Thursday, in St. Francis Church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the Cheche Funeral Home, 1778 Clark St., Auburn.
Alfred was an affectionate, good-natured man who cherished his church, family and country.
