Sturdevant Pollard
AUBURN - Mrs. Bernice M. Sturdevant Pollard, of 56 North St., Marcellus, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Matthew House, Auburn.
A native of Delhi, she was the daughter of George and Esther Bell Sturdevant. Bernice was a graduate of Delaware Academy & Central School, SUNY Delhi. For many years she was a member and an active volunteer for the Marcellus Free Library and the Friends of the Marcellus Free Library. Her husband, Richard A. Pollard, whom she married May 14, 1943, predeceased her in December 1979.
Surviving are their children, Susan (Bill) Burnette of Marcellus, William (Susan) Pollard of Auburn, Margaret Pollard of Minoa, Edward (Karen) Pollard of Marcellus, Thomas (Kathy) Pollard of Camillus, Timothy (Nadine) Pollard of Lakeport and Raymond (Mary) Pollard of Syracuse; brother, George (Billie) Sturdevant of Delhi; sister, Helen (Harold) Utter of Delhi; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Arthur; a sister, Miriam Fialla; her husband and parents.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus.
