SKANEATELES - Frank Mutari scored the lone goal for the Auburn Bantam ice hockey team in a 1-1 tie against Skaneateles this past weekend. Coaches cited Chris Clifford, Mick Sicchio, Mike Ryan, and Chris Mundal for their defensive effort. Tom Travell had 11 saves in goal.
In another game, Sean Hogan and Andrew Chadderdon had the only Auburn goals in its loss to Whitesboro 4-2. Joe McQueeney was credited with an assist. Tom Travell had 26 saves in goal.
PEE WEE SNOWBELT
SKANEATELES - Johnny Shaw had four goals as Auburn defeated Skaneateles 7-5. Justin Corcoran had two goals and one assist. Urson Lasagna added the other goal. Danny Rabuano had two assists and James Murtari had one assist.
Mark Bruno had 11 saves in goal.
PEE WEES
SKANEATELES - Cole Bardrow scored four goals as the Auburn McGlaughlin Glass Ice Hawks defeated Skaneateles 14-1.
Bobby Gage had three goals. Toly Capocefelo and J.T. Foltz each had two goals. Brad Murdoch and Conor Entenmann each had one goal.
Foltz, Entenmann, Gage, Bardrow, Matt Festa, Mike Piwinski, and Mike McGlaughlin each had assists. Jared Humphrey was cited by coaches for his defensive efforts. Steve Komanecky and Tyler Falcone had 10 saves in goal.
On Sunday, the Pee Wees defeated Whitesboro 7-3 behind Foltz's three goals. Festa added two goals. Entenmann and McGlaughlin each had one goal.
Entenmann, Festa, Bob Gage, and Bardrow each had an assist.
Murdoch, Humphrey, and Piwinski led the defense allowing only seven shots on goal.
SQUIRT TRAVEL
AUBURN - Mikey Foltz had two unassisted goals as the J&E Electric Mite Travel hockey team defeated Cortland 4-3 this past weekend.
Nick Netti and Brett Lowe each had one goal. Connor Hastings had 14 saves in goal.
SKANEATELES - Mike Tarby and Billy Farrington each had one goal and one assist as Auburn lost to Skaneateles 18-3. Kyle Hlywa added a goal.
Jeff Gardner had 19 saves in goal.
In another game, Ryan Gregory and Hlywa had the only goals for Auburn as they lost 15-2 against Skaneateles. Farrington and Luke Petrosino each had an assist. Brendan Entenmann had 22 saves in goal.
