Jackson breaks Southern Cayuga scoring mark

ODESSA - Ben Jackson broke the career goals scored record for the Southern Cayuga boys soccer team by scoring his 65th and 66th career goals in a 4-1 win over Odessa-Montouron Friday.
Rob Jetty with 64 owned the old record.

C.J Philip added a goal on an assist from Tuan Tran and Chris Driscoll. The Chiefs led in shots on goal 28-5 and in corner kicks 13-2.

Josh Mitchell had two saves and Rob Vernon added one.

Southern Cayuga (8-1-1, 11-2-3) plays Monday against Candor at a site to be determined.

The game is being played as a special tiebreaker in which the winner gets a wild card slot for the upcoming IAC conference tournament.

FIELD HOCKEY

C-NS 5, Auburn 0

CICERO - Stacey Hennick had five saves and Cheri Westmiller had seven saves as the Maroons lost to C-NS 5-0.

Auburn (5-9-3) hosts Cato on Monday night at 7p.m. at Holland Staduim.
