MECHANICSBURG, Pa. -Dana W. Griswold, 81, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., passed away Monday, Oct. 4, 2004 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 24, 1923 in Preble, the son of the late Earl and Clara Roote Griswold. Mr. Griswold retired from Con Rail, having worked as a conductor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marcia D. Corl Griswold; two sons, William D., Auburn, and Robin L., Tobyhanna, Pa.; three daughters, Christine G. Matijas, Moravia, Carolyn S. Pilkington, Mechanicsburg, Pa., Debra J. Benedict, Dillsburg, Pa.; two brothers, Everette and Calvin Griswold, both of Preble; one sister, Bernice Allen, Cortland; along with six grandchildren and six great-grandchilden.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, Hubert Griswold.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in the United Church of Christ, Preble.
