TURNERS FALLS, Mass. - Lorraine C. Donnelly, 81, of Turners Falls, Mass., formerly of North Fulton Street, Auburn, passed away Monday, Oct. 4, 2004.
Mrs. Donnelly was born in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Weig. She was a graduate of Mount St. Mary's Nursing School in Lewiston. She worked at Mercy Hospital and Auburn Memorial Hospital, and for Dr. John Donahue, DDS. While in Auburn, Mrs. Donnelly was a communicant of Holy Family Church.
Mrs. Donnelly was predeceased by her husband, Donald J. Donnelly in 1975; and her brother, Richard Weig.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Joan) of Alexander, Raymond (Maureen) of Schenectady, Neil (Deborah) of Auburn, Maureen Scott of Auburn, Lorraine Kane of Largo, Fla., William (Cheryl) of Middleport, Christopher (MaryAnn) of Holley, and Lillian (David) Sroka of Turners Falls, Mass.; and a sister, Eileen Doerflien of Tonawanda.
She was known as "Grandma Donnelly" to her 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, Dr. Thomas (Patricia) Donnelly of Auburn and Robert (Kathryn) Donnelly of Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be held Friday, Oct. 8, in Turners Falls, Mass.
There will be a Mass for her Intention 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, in Holy Family Church, North Street, Auburn.
