May shoots 33 as Auburn falls to C-NS

AUBURN - David May shot a 3-under-par 33 with two birdies and an eagle but the Auburn High School boys golf team dropped its Class A season opener to Cicero-North Syracuse 200-204 on Wednesday at Highland Park Golf Club.
Ryan May added a 37 for the Maroons, RJ Lewis had a 43, Jordan Cannizzo shot a 45 and Brian Hoey carded a 46.

WINDSOR - The Blue Devils squandered a 2-0 halftime lead, allowing four second-half goals. Jennifer Guido scored both Moravia goals with an assist from Miranda Giusti.

Vanessa Lloyd had eight saves in goal for Moravia, which was outshot 11-7. Deposit had seven penalty corners to Moravia's three.

Moravia plays Walton in today's consolation match.

The Blue Devil JVs won easily, 7-0, as Nicole LeFever led with three goals and an assist, Emily Dusseau (two assists) and Emily Lockett each added a pair of goals.

UNION SPRINGS - Bill Moore had 10 saves in front of a young Wolves team in a season-opening loss.

The Blue Raiders outshot the Wolves 18-3 and led in corner kicks 6-2.

Union Springs plays at Odessa-Montour on Friday.
