AURORA - Margaret H. Perkins, 86, of Center Road, Scipio Center, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at Auburn Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Perkins was born in Genoa, the daughter of the late Mildred and Bert Hand and had resided in the southern Cayuga area for most of her life. She was employed as a home health aide for many years with the Cayuga County Home Care Services, and she was a member of the Rebekka Lodge of Auburn. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching John Wayne movies. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Surviving her is one daughter, Sharon Flagler of Scipio Center; four grandchildren, Robin Nolan and her husband, Michael, Linda Carney and her husband, John, Dale Perkins and his wife, Betsy Jo, and Deidra Hetherington and her husband, Dan; six great-grandchildren, Charles and Michael Nolan, Will and Adam Hetherington, and Marisa and Dalton Perkins.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the Shakelton Funeral Home, 418 Main St., Aurora. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the funeral home with the Rev. Janet P. Newman officiating. Internment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, town of Ledyard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Scipioville Memorial Fund, 3428 Route 34B, Scipio Center, NY 13147 in memory of Mrs. Perkins.
