MELROSE PARK, Ill. - Mr. Kim E. Hughes, 49, of Melrose Park, Ill., died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at his home. He is a former resident of Auburn.
Kim was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Auburn, for many years, where he was an Eagle Scout. A graduate of Auburn High School, Auburn Community College and SUNY Utica-Rome, Kim was an active member of the Melrose Park business community as an enrolled agent at Jackson-Hewitt.
Kim was also CEO and president of Chicago Management Consultants, a director of the Melrose Park Chamber of Commerce and an adjunct professor at Wright & Daley College, Chicago.
Surviving are his parents, Lloyd and Eileen Flynn Hughes of Auburn; his children, Patrick and Katherine and their mother, Jane Hughes of Homer; his fiance, Marianne Moe of Melrose Park, Ill.; sisters, Paula MacHose (Scott) of Cazenovia, Maureen Gault (James) of Deltona, Fla., and Mary Beth Smolokoff of Tinton Falls, N.J.; and Kim will be sadly missed by several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held 9 a.m. Monday, March 22, in Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. James Enright as celebrant.
A private entombment will be held by the family in St. Joseph's Mausoleum. The Hughes family will receive familiy and friends from 1 to 4 p.m. today, March 21, at Farrell's Funeral Service Inc., 84 South St., Auburn. The omission of flowers has been requested by the family.Memorials may be made to The Kim E. Hughes Children's Trust Fund, c/o Tompkins Trust Co., 86 North St., Auburn, NY 13021.
