AUBURN - Mary Zichettella Cavataio, 87, of 5847 Naples Drive, Zephyrhills, Fla., died Friday, March 19, 2004, in Florida.
A native of Auburn, Mary had lived the past 10 years in Florida, having moved there from Owego where she had lived 40 years prior to that. Mary was a communicant of St. Francis Church where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Society. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters.
The widow of the late James Cavataio, who died in 1984, Mary is survived by four sons, John and his wife Linda of Texas, Nick and his wife Sue of Owego, Jim and his wife Gigi of Endicott and Jerry and his wife Janet of Rhode Island; six grandchildren, Greg, Sam and Jennifer, Nicole and Michael, Brianna and Carlene; two sisters, Catherine and Rose Zichettella of Auburn; a brother, Joseph Zichettella and his wife Mary of Ithaca; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was predeceased by a brother Louis in 2002 and a sister Bridget in 2004.
Services will be at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in the Cheche Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Owego. Friends are invited to call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Cheche Funeral Home, 1778 Clark St., Auburn.
