Auburn Arsenal Stampede shuts out Marcellus Storm

MARCELLUS - Laura Taylor and Chelsea Hogan each scored goals as the Auburn Arsenal Stampede shut out the Marcellus Storm 2-0 in an U15 division youth soccer game at The Ultimate Goal.
Melissa Hyrynk and Kelly Grinnell added assists. Goalie Carrie Lawton made eight saves.

Stephanie Buttaro, Kaitlyn Liccion and Molly Grinnell were praised for their play.

Auburn is now 3-0 and has not allowed a goal yet.

U14 Division

Kelly Grinnell scored one goal as the Auburn Arsenal Emerils were defeated by Marcellus Pizza 3-1.

Nicole Schattinger made nine saves in the net.

Jenna Dombrowski, Stephanie Spinney and Jen Fox drew praise for their play.

Laura Taylor scored three goals and added one assist as the Auburn Arsenal Ice defeated Fingerlakes 6-3 in the second game of their doubleheader.

Marissa Slayton, Kara Catino and Kelsey Quest added goals.

Kim Leubuner made 10 saves in the goal and drew praise from her coach.

In the first game of the doubleheader, Auburn defeated Fingerlakes 5-2 as Taylor scored two goals and added two assists.

Quest also scored two goals and added one assist, while Nicolette Neagle added an assist.

U18 Division

Ally Colvin scored two goals as the Auburn Arsenal Magnum edged the Auburn Arsenal Avengers 3-2.

Lisa Taylor added a goal for the Magnum.

Jessica Gilmore, Kayla Lamay and Sam Lauckern each had assists.

Goalie Leanne Musso made 12 saves, while Melissa Hyrynk was praised for her play.

Jordan Pelc and Nikki Sczcepanski each scored goals to pace the Avengers.

Flannery Nangle and Carrie Lawton each had assists. Goalie Ashley Pesaile made nine saves.

U11 Division

MARCELLUS - Alex Brownlee scored one goal and added an assist as the Cayuga Lake Jr. Bankers fell to Skaneateles 4-3.

Adam Miles and Mike Vanderhoof also added goals, while Daniel Beck and Spencer Parker had assists.

Goalie Jim Atkinson and Conor Soules combined to record 26 saves.

Conor Engle and Parker were praised for defense.

Champions For Life

7-9 year old division

AUBURN - Ben Bellnier scored four goals as Bouley Associates defeated Bergan & Young 10-5.

Gerry Zema added three goals, while Ali Vangiesen chipped in with two. Zachary Weaver scored the final goal.

Taylor Roeschlaub and Taylor Enge scored two goals each to pace Bergan & Young. Giorgianna Ervolina added a goal.

Mark Bachman and Tom Stebbins each scored two goals as the Cayuga Lake National Bank beat Children's Health Specialists 7-4.

Bridge Sabine, Elizabeth Henty and Stephanie Henty also added goals.

Steve Pelc scored two goals to pace Children's Health Specialists, while Jonathan Matthews and Jennifer Currier each added goals.

10-12 year old division

AUBURN - Colin Dombeck scored four goals as Jacob's Press tied Bouley Associates 6-6.

Emily Parker and Kieran Cotter added goals for Jacob's Press.

Josh Brown paced Bouley Associates with three goals, while Morgan Pflug, Ben Ormsby and Ben Cadwallader each chipped in goals.

Ashley Evans scored two goals as Advantage Plumbing edged Cato Soccer 5-4.

David Henty , Marissa Petrosino and Thomas Droppa added goals.

Wesley Lorshea, Steven Cole, Jake Hawley and Gerad Shorttuff paced Cato Soccer with goals.
