SENECA FALLS - Robert J. Burns, 71, of Seneca Falls, a former resident of Auburn, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Auburn Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.Mr. Burns was born in Auburn on Nov. 27, 1932, the son of the late Edward J. and Mabel McKeon Burns.
He had resided in Auburn most of his life prior to relocating to the Seneca Falls-Waterloo area several years ago. He was a graduate of Holy Family High School and was a parishioner of Holy Family Church while living in Auburn.

Bob had been a former employee of the City of Auburn and had been employed by Fred, Bill and Dave Farrell in their family owned business for over 20 years.He is survived by his three children, Trina, Peter and William; his sisters, Marjorie Ganley of Rochester, Joan Morgan of Auburn and Catherine Flynn of Camillus; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Burns was predeceased by his sister, Rose Cuddy and his brothers, Edward F., William J. and John J. Burns.A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming.
