Nolan's closing

AUBURN - After more than 50 years in business, Nolan's Sporting Goods is calling it quits.

Owner Bob Nolan, 79, said Tuesday that he can no longer compete with Wal-Mart and is shutting his doors.

"People just drive right by," Nolan said Tuesday evening as he stood in the Genesee Street store where there are already going-out-of-business signs up. "This closing has been coming on for a long time."
