MORAVIA - Frances G. Mendoza, 91, of Gunn Loop, Moravia died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, in Auburn Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Mendoza was born April 17, 1912, in Rochester, the daughter of the late Albert and Bertha Hutchinson Gross. She was a former resident of Rochester and Union City, Calif. most of her life, living in Moravia the past nine years.
A graduate of Honeyoye Falls High School, she was a librarian for Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester and Sampson Naval Hospital, Geneva. She also worked for Bond Clothes, Rochester prior to her retirement.
She was the widow of Manuel Mendoza who predeceased her in 1992
Mrs. Mendoza is survived by one sister, Ruth Munn of Moravia; three nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, in First Baptist Church of Moravia. Burial will be in Hayward, Calif. Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral service.
Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Moravia in Mrs. Mendoza's memory.
Funeral arrangements are with the Wade Funeral Home, Moravia.
