AUBURN - Mrs. Joan L. Darrow Welsh, 85, of Schwartz Towers, Auburn died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, at University Hospital, Syracuse.
She was the daughter of Millard and Lillian Lyons Darrow, a former employee of Dunn & McCarthy, Auburn and for many years had resided on Mary and Osborne Streets.
A native and lifelong resident of Auburn, Joan was a graduate of Holy Family High School and a member of St. Isaac Jogues Church and an active volunteer for many years with RSVP at Willard Chapel.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Edward C. Darrow, Patty Ragucci, William Welch an Robert Welsh, all of Auburn; daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Welsh of Auburn and sister-in-law, Rita M. Darrow of Auburn. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Leo A. Welsh; her son, David Welsh and brother, Charles Darrow.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, in Willard Chapel, Auburn. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Willard Chapel, 17 Nelson St., Auburn.
