AUBURN - Mr. Edward V. Ohlmeyer, 89, of 6524 Mullen Drive, Auburn, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at Auburn Memorial Hospital.
A native and lifelong Auburnian, he was the son of Carl F. and Ethel Cooper Ohlmeyer. He was a 1932 graduate of Auburn Academic High School and married Margaret O'Herron May 16, 1942. Mr. Ohlmeyer retired from ALCO, Auburn, in 1972.
Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Margaret O'Herron Ohlmeyer of Auburn; and their children, Edward Ohlmeyer of Middletown, Conn. and Susan Lindenbaum and her husband Gary of Auburn; one grandson, Thomas E. Jordan; and two great-grandchildren, Meghan and Ben Jordan.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Carl A.; and sisters, Evelyn Cassidy, Helen Mead and Jeanne King.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn, with the Rev. Robert Schrader, pastor of St. Mary's Church, officiating. There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Mary's Renovation Fund, or to Aurelius or Throop volunteer fire departments.
