AUBURN - Joseph Lepak, 79, of 57 Arlington Ave., Auburn, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at his residence. He was the husband of Olga Feck Lepak.
Mr. Lepak was a life resident of the Auburn area, the son of the late William and Barbara Spin Lepak. He was a former employee of ALCO, retiring in 1973. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 102 of Skaneateles, American Legion Post 1259 in Cayuga, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, and the Loyal Order of Moose.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mary Dryda of Wichita Falls, Texas, Rebecca Testa and May Lepak, both of Auburn; three sons, Joseph E. Lepak Jr. and Kenneth Lepak, both of Auburn, and Dennis Lepak of Arlington, Texas; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; his brother, Michael Lepak of Auburn; his sister, Helen McKellop of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, William in November of 2000; his sisters, Julia Cabal and Anna Lawler; and his brothers, John and Frank Lepak.
Funeral services for Mr. Lepak will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Plis Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 220 State St.
Contributions may be made in Mr. Lepak's memory to the SS Peter & Paul School Fund.
