Skaneateles girls defeat Oswego

SKANEATELES Chelsea Strodel and Kelsey White each scored two goals to lead the Skaneateles girls varsity ice hockey team to a 5-2 win over Oswego on Monday.
Ashleigh Kinder added a goal and an assist and Kaitlyn OBrien and Caroline Davis contributed two assists apiece.

The win improved the Lakers to 2-3-2 on the season.

Boys Ice Hockey

Ithaca 3, Auburn 1

Ithaca scored twice in the third period to seal the win.

Joe Montagna scored Auburns lone goal on an assist from Matt Malenick.

Goalie Sean Burke had 18 saves.

The Maroons (5-3-1, 3-1-1) will play at the Brockport Tournament on Friday.

ROMULUS Pat Grant had 22 points in the losing effort for the Blue Devils, and Pat Grant added nine.

Cato-Meridian (0-8) will play in the consolation game of the Romulus Tournament on Saturday.

Wrestling

Cicero-North Syracuse 57, Auburn 18

CICERO All three of Auburns victories were pinfalls. Ryan Gadsby (130 lbs) won in 1:04, Jeremy Smith (145) in 3:16, and James Dunster (171) in 1:26. The Maroons were hurt by several forfeits in the meet.

Auburn (0-2) is at Oswego on Saturday.
